Meta Awards publishes an aggregated record of Game of the Year awards. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any award ceremony, publisher, developer or media outlet named on it.

Data sources and attribution

Historical award data was reconstructed from the archived gameawards.net via the Internet Archive. Game descriptions come from Wikipedia under CC BY-SA 4.0; structured facts (release dates, studios, publishers, platforms, play modes) from Wikidata under CC0. Console sales figures come from Wikipedia's list of best-selling game consoles. Award winner histories for the major ceremonies come from their respective Wikipedia articles. Every page that uses one of these sources names it inline. Game titles, logos and cover artwork are the property of their respective owners.

This site contains links to external websites over whose content we have no control. Responsibility for linked content rests with the respective provider or operator.
