PUBG: Battlegrounds, originally titled PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), is a 2017 battle royale game published by Krafton and developed by Krafton's PUBG Studios. Inspired by the Japanese film Battle Royale (2000), the game is based on mods created by Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene and was developed under his creative direction.
